I am 2yrs into 3yrs of HT following RT 19 months ago.
I meet with my consultant last week and asked to finish HT 10 months early, really struggling with side effects and Quality of life. Anyway after discussion we agreed I would come off Prostrap and start taking Bicalutamide for 6 months and review then.
How have others managed the side effects of Bicalutamide

  • Hello

I can't comment personally but Bicaluatimide is the "softest" of all the HT treatments and will do the job - but with less side effects.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • I only had Bicalutamide for 4 weeks prior to starting Zoladex.

I didn't notice any side effects at all.

    Changed, but not diminished.
  • Hi Brizzy1

I'm the same as Steve (mstev2) only had Bicalutamide for the first 4 weeks prior to having the Zoladex injection. No side effects either but obviously we're all different. Best wishes with the rest of your treatment

  • I found that Bicalutamide made me very sensitive in the breast/nipple area to the point where its was painful to touch. This went away when I started with Decapeptyl injections.
