Hello Boki02 and welcome. None of us are medically trained but from your figures things still look very much under control. You do not say whether your father has been on hormone therapy, or is still on it, nor whether he had whole pelvic radiotherapy or just to the prostate as these can influence whether he might expect a slight rise or a bounce. His last 2 PSA readings indicate that things might be levelling off and hopefully will remain there. After radiotherapy the criteria indicating a possible recurrence are 3 consecutive rises over a short period of time or an increase of 2 plus the lowest PSA level reached.
Do you know his TNM, initial PSA and was the hormone therapy just for 3 months or was it the 3 monthly injections and if so for how long? No matter what, the clear scans are a good sign and the PSA levels are well within those expected after radiotherapy. Make sure that your father continues to get PSA checks regularly but please come back if you have any questions.
In which case, these figures are excellent. Normally, intervention is required at 2.0, not 0.2. (The 0.2 figure applies to post prostatectomy.) AW
