Good morning all

I haven't been on in a while and just wondered if any one has had a similar thing I have pc with bone mets and underwent chemotherapy this year which finished in August, my PSA is now .01 undetectable, which sounds great I've been getting a lot of general aching in my bones since it finished which is manageable but last Monday I was admitted to hospital with excruciating pain in my hip and groin I've undergone an MRI and a CT scan both which don't shed a lot of light on the situation, over the last week they have been increasing my pain relief I'm now on slow release morn and night top dose of pregabalin 40mg nortriptalyn on an evening and oxynorm every 2 hours if needed .

im still getting pain/disscomfort but no where near where I was .

just wanted to know what questions I should be asking?and has anyone else had the same? I'm still in hospital nearly a week now ( nothing really happens at the weekend) so should see someone hopefully tomorrow

take care everyone and look after yourselves

  • Hello Jamie. I am sorry to hear that you are in hospital at the moment but hopefully it is the best place to get sorted. My husband does not have bone mets but has recently had excruciating hip pain radiating down the leg which started soon after he had an MRI so bone problems, apart from arthritis, could be ruled out. He sees an osteopath regularly who said it was a tendon problem which can take a little while to resolve. She does her work, hubby does his exercises and I give him deep massage with a massage gun (the osteopath showed me how to do it properly). This combination has given him a lot of relief and allows him to reduce pain meds. My suggestion is to ask if some form of physiotherapy might help.

    Take care
