OH had chemo for advanced prostate ending in January and PSA right down now. Prostap 3 monthly jabs and darolutamide keeping things in check. Now has phone reviews every three months. Has lost about a stone in weight but looking and feeling pretty good considering but oh, the brain fogging! It's really getting to him and making him very angry and frustrated. I find myself talking to him as if he's a child, which is horrible. Don't really know how to help. Is it likely to get worse? Any experience if this?

Ah Brian, that is fine provided you - load the plates and cutlery properly, add a dishwasher tablet (where are they kept?) set the programme (which one do I need?) press the on button, shut the door, now how long is that going to take, set the reminder to check when it is finished, open dishwasher, put crockery and cutlery away, close cupboard doors and drawers without banging head, RELAX. Even more hassle than the washing up bowl and not as many Brownie points from the other half as the washing up is looking you in the face and less likely to be forgotten in the 'dirty crockery cupboard ' as a friend calls the dishwasher.
So - the answer is to.........................
Leave it all to Mrs Millibob and adjourn to the Pub.
Sounds like a plan to me.
It should all be done and put away when I get back.

In my opinion, ADT induces brain fog in two ways. One is likely physical due to being cut-off from testosterone, hence artificially aging the body by a number of years, The other is through feeling depressed by what the ADT is doing to us, which compounds the physical effect,
I've had cancer and been on ADT long enough that I no longer feel depressed, which helps me some as well as I exercise every day which helps with the mood too. What I find helps me with the physically induced brain fog is taking Concerta (or Ritalin or that type of focus enhancement drugs) as well as taking a nap when thinking becomes too hard and prevents me from working. I find that a afternoon nap of 45 to 60 minutes often helps me complete my work shift afterwards.

Lyon, things that will help, forget multi-tasking, it's a myth it doesn't help anyone, focus on one thing at a time and if you are having a conversation keep your eye's on the person you are talking to at all times, concentration is key to remembering, I have also found being told something is easier to remember than reading it, and 1 to 2oz of dark chocolate 80% cocoa content a day improves brain function by up to 25%.
