I've gone two months past my two years of Zoladex implants and am still having horrific 'hot flushes' throughout the day and night. As an example, yesterday I had 21 hot flushes in a 24 hour period - seven during the night and I got up and dressed at 05:15hrs! I'm totally exhausted and haven't been able to walk much more than 1Km at a time without resting. I've visited my GP (this morning) and she's going to refer me to the Marsden. Unfortunately, she's flying out to the States until mid-September and I'll have to wait for her return before any action will be taken.
I'm surprised that I haven't yet turned green from the number of sage tablets I've consumed but they haven't helped anyway. I may as well eat some onions to complete the sage and onion stuffing...
I'm following this as I'm in the same boat.
Sick and tired of them. Going to see what the consultant says tomorrow
I've been suffering from severe hot flushes, at least once an hour day and night, for the first 6 months of HT, my oncologist then put me on daily Medroxyprogesterone 20mg which really helped. I still get flushes but they're fewer and not as severe, I'm not pouring sweat when they arrive, and I no longer wake up at night from it.

Hi AndyK , when you say you are two months after your 2 years on Zoladex, if I am reading this correctly, you finished your last jab in June? If so, don’t expect the HT to go that quickly. Even if your last jab was in March (on a 10.8mg Zoladex) I would expect your libido not to recover for a few months. Hopefully others can give you their experiences. Best wishes, David
AndyK It was at least six months after my last Prostap 3 injection before things started to return to the new normal. My hot flushes were well controlled during HT with a combination of Sage capsules, Evening Primrose Oil and occasional doses of an Homeopathic remedy of Sepia (cuttlefish ink) so that was less noticeable. It was the return to normal size and function of the "dangly bits" that took a while.
I hope that helps.
