Well, that was quick. I chased the medical oncologist (Greek God) up this morning and he has had a pow wow with the radio oncologist, so I was told to speak to him as they both thought hubby was eligible for SBRT on the distant mets. Did this at lunchtime and was asked when we would like it done. Whenever we replied. Got a text at 17:30 to ask if we are available TOMORROW at 15:50 for the planning scan and can we take the PSMA PET scan disc. So all set for treatment starting next week. Having to sort out an apartment near the hospital for a couple of weeks as he predicts it will be 5 sessions on alternate week days.
Brilliant to hear such positive news. Think this calls for an ice cream a day over summer
I wish, but I would get told off by the doctor as my glucose is heading towards diabetes thanks to insomnia. I have been very good this evening and had giant prawns with grilled vegetables at one of our favourite tavernas. Now sitting with a very nice single malt. Hubby had a local dish of smoked pork (not with salt) with a salad - that's his weekly ration of red meat.
Someone commented today how strong hubbys Cornish accent still is and he does miss clotted cream, particularly a Kelly's ice cream. He comes from farming stock and has fond memories of his mum making it on top of the Aga after milking the cows. Hope you are not overrun by tourists at the moment.
Only half a bottle? It's better when it's shared.
I will at some point in the future make a point of doing a personal delivery. I always keep a promise!! .
Talking of deliveries Lorraine has just left home to take our eldest and her husband to hospital as grandson number 2 appears to be on the way.
Time to open a bottle myself I think..........watch this space!!

Wow. More good news to celebrate soon. Hope she has a quick delivery and that the only painful thing is going to be the hit on grandad's wallet.
