Hi millibob
The team couldn't say 100 per cent if it had spread to lymph nodes so I had seven and a half weeks of radiotherapy to the whole pelvic region on initial diagnosis. As discussed previously if the scans come back clear....how do they find where the little bugger is ?
Hi Big Col.
CT and PET scans are different but can be combined. A bone scan is different again.
A PSMA PET CT is even more sensitive at picking up mets.
Hello Big Col
I had the same issue - unclear MRI and with a PSA of 182 there was a good chance of the buggers going "walkabout".
My oncologist "zapped" my lymph nodes as well and that was that!! She's using my PSA to check how I am and at 0.33 on my last test things are looking good.
They are doing a "bib and braces" check for you to make sure they have got everything - trust your team I think it's all going well for you.
Keep us posed.
Best wishes - Brian..

I feel no pain, can't feel anything on my spine. Generally feel great my oncologist suggested that might be due to my high tetesterone, that was last November.....I still feel good. Since my commencing bicalutomide my arm muscles ache like I've been digging for hrs.Is this a typical side felt.
Right I'm clear on that, now. Try and not worry till Apr 4th.
Good Morning Big Col The waiting, the appointment, the results, more waiting........ and on it goes.
But the thing is your team are looking after you and doing everything they can for you, We can all call the NHS but it works and although it's slow - it works.
As for your arms, that's a new one on me, however, I have just looked and the the patient information leaflet does say "may cause body aches and pain" so yes it's a side effect.
Keep going Big Col - you are doing great.
Best wishes - Brian.
