Hi All
I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer with a Gleason score 6 (3+3) and PSA of 3.35, I was advised to go on active surveillance but want the thing gone asap.
After much research I am thinking about having the Nanoknife treatment & would like to know if anybody has had this done & their experiences with this
Thanks
Hi M
A newish treatment I think and not readily available on NHS so maybe no one on here to answer your question.
I believe UCL were offering it so u could check that out.
I see those stats of yours are low so Radiotherapy shouldn't be a problem.
Don't forget one thing with new treatments no long term success rates
Good luck anyway, time on your side, if tumour small could be worth considering active surveillance, PSA near normal
Steve
Hello M5002W A warm welcome to the online Prostate Cancer Community.
Nanoknife is as far as I am aware only on offer at 2/3 NHS hospitals. There are some old threads on here where Community members have been through private treatment and you can find these by going to the search facility at the top of the page and entering the word "nanoknife".
Good Luck - Brian.
