Hi
I have an appointment for CT Radiotherapy planning scan next week followed by brachytherapy operation in the first week of March followed by external beam radiation every day for 5 weeks.
I really don’t know what to expect I am worried sick about adverse reactions and not being able to cope.
I really appreciate any helpful information you can give me regarding how to deal with any issues with this operation.
Kind regards
Nour
Hello Nour Incredible1 Let me tell you are in the best place for help and advice.
Let me "tag" my good friend Alpine Wanderer to this post. He's undergone Brachytherapy in the last couple of months and he's on his last week of Radiotherapy this week.
I am sure he will be along later to allay your fears and to confirm there's nothing to worry about.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Incredible 1.
A warm welcome. As a follow on to Brian's post I have attached a link to Alpine Wanderer's journey on his treatment with Brachytherapy and Radiotherapy which we have been following. It gives you a detailed description of what he has experienced.
Hi Nour - well, I can see that my good friends Millibob and Alwayshope have already pointed you in my direction, including a very helpful link to my detailed journey, after I had made my decision to go for this pathway. You’ve definitely come to the right place. You can also click on my profile to see my chronological journey since initial PSA check - this also contains some helpful videos & explanations. Feel free to ask any questions and don’t worry: you’ve got this… and we’ve got your back. AW
Oh, and could you put your own details on your profile (or add them to this, thread)? May be useful to other that follow you on a similar pathway. AW
Hi Nour - To update your profile, go to the chair on the top right of your home page, click on it then "profile" and then "edit".
Thanks and Best wishes - Brian.
