Stereotactic body radiotherapy SBRT

5-day SBRT is not available to me in my region and I can't request it at another centre.  If I could I probably would.  It is very appealing to have just 5 days of RT without HT. 

Search for Mark Scholz online.  He has a good video that discusses RT versus surgery.

Hi Dave.                                                                                          I have same diagnosis as you ,I’m on Tamisulan for my bladder at moment and am awaiting RT 20 weeks dose, also offered Active Observation but would rather get it dealt with,,the waiting is the longest,I’m 3+4=7, T2,NO,MZ,my PSA is currently 4.7,nice to meet you

thanks for sharing your story I have made the decision to go down the surgery path after many discussions and reading of literature.

thanks for your reply I have listened to Mark and many others in making my decision which has been very difficult however I have chosen the surgery route which me and my family think is the best way forward for myself

When and where is your RT due to commence? 

Are you now on HT?  If so, what and for how long?

I have a telephone appointment on the 24th of April just after my week’s Cruise,so hoping some confirmation then,she gave me the RT leaflet to look at in the meantime can’t remember if HT was mentioned,my PSA was 4.7 on the 24/1/24 so low value she said,also started temolusolon for my water works which have improved already

We have the same Gleason ie 3+4 but my PSA is higher.  I too am in Scotland.

You had your oncology appointment on the 24th Jan.  Was your RT commencement date mentioned?   I am puzzled over the reason for the 24th April phone call?   I assume that you have not been put on HT when you say you can't remember if it was mentioned.

Are you to be treated at the Beatson with IMRT?  

I ask these questions to compare with my treatment times, which I am not pleased about.

AS was also mentioned to me, but I was also not interested.

Hi Dedalus.                                                            Yes my Oncologist mentioned the AS but when she phones I’m just going to say I want the RT,the GP was supposed to have put me on Tamsolusin but hadn’t so she wanted my waterworks sorted first,and within a couple off weeks on the tablet they’ve settled down,yes it’s the Beatson I go to
