  1. For anyone out there about to start treatment, especially chemo try to think positively because it doesn't have to be awful. My hubby got through it with virtually no side effects. During his treatment if he so much as sneezed I was running for the thermometer. If he closed his eyes for 5 seconds I was asking if he was ok and ready to dial 999. I was constantly googling things and wore myself out in the end. Speak to your oncology nurse as they are very good as are the nurses on the Macmillan nurse helpline who explained everything in a clear and patient way. However the biggest shout has to go to the lovely people on here who constantly reassured me it would get better and they were right it did.
  2. Finally if you have a Maggie's centre go and say hello they really looked after me whilst hubby was having his treatment. Together we can do this
  • Thanks

I love a positive and helpful post. Your husband is a lucky boy having you to look after him! You are right though - stick with the treatment and you will get there in the end.

Prostate Cancer is the bond that brings us together and it is a "family affair" and if we all stick together we can beat this cancer.

Thanks for posting - Best wishes as always - Brian. Thumbsup
