Hi All .
I'm new here , my husband having recently been diagnosed with Advanced PC with spread to pelivic lymph . Gleason 9 Group Grade 5 PSA 7.4 Also undergoing further investigation for thickening of rectal wall seen on CT . No Bone spread .
Started on Biculutamide 150mg , and due to swap onto zoladex in January
Due to have further checks for bowel before Radiotherapy treatment , likely the new SABR x 5 treatments.
So a couple of questions if anyone can help , the first around any experience of treatment with SABR radiotherapy and secondly around Abiraterone treatment which apparently isn’t available on NHS but may be a better treatment ?
Thanks I advance for support
Hi Really sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
It was just to say I was watching the news recently about a chap with prostate cancer.
He is purchasing Arbiraterone which he said it’s a game changer for him.
its is costing him £250 for a month’s supply through NHS England.
And he doesn’t understand why it can’t be available there.
Ps there’s no way I could afford this myself so grateful that way.
it will happen for you I’m certain.
Armie
