I assume you are having an injection of Decapeptyl. I had my third on Thursday and must admit my right buttock was a bit sore for 24 hours. I experienced a dull ache and some stiffness when moving following the injection. I didn't get any sort of burning sensation.

This was a bit of a surprise as my first two injections didn't cause me any discomfort.

Glad to hear your reaction resolved itself in a few hours. I would mention it to a healthcare professional just to check your symptoms. It may be some sort of allergic reaction. A dull ache is not uncommon but not heard of a burning pain.

My husband has 3 monthly decapeptyl injections. What we realised is that he had pain when one nurse did it and no pain when the other gave it. We then realised that the nurse giving the pain was shaking the drug to mix and the other was just rolling it. I looked on the instructions and sure enough it says that the phial should not be shaken and just rolled gently.

The burning was where if I had had the runs for days on end , yes right there , bloody stings too , a Macmillan nurse on here said it’s not a symptom, but to ask my consultant, but as I have Crohn’s it may be had a reaction, thanks
