18 months ago diagnosed with localised advance prostrate cancer....5 /6 weeks ago i noticed few drops blood in urine, phoned urology dept for advice and consultant arranged for me to have cystoscopy ( think thats what it was called ) a couple weeks ltr. I didnt see any more blood after couple days anyway. After the cystoscopy it was a night mare for 7 or days due to uti.
That cleared up, but then i started to see blood again
This seems to happen every 2 or 3 days.
What i am asking, is it normal to see blood in urine every few days with my condition.
Tia
Hello Rob - and a warm welcome.
I know you have advanced Prostate Cancer but blood in your Urine isn't a good sign. I don't know if you have been through Radiotherapy - that's one potential cause of it.
A cystoscopy is the one where they check the inside of your bladder and also your urethra for any damage - I assume you had the "all clear on that".
As it's not the first time and you have already been onto your Urology department I think you need to contact them again - as soon as possible - to let them know what's happening. It needs looking at and if it's regular as you say then I would be ringing them tomorrow.
I hope this helps - let us know hoe you get on.
Best wishes - Brian.
