HT update

Don't count your chickens before your eggs are hatched. .

I went for a few months on HT - thought nothing had changed - and  BINGO - it all started at once (or in the case of my erection didn't!!).

They are coming pal - let me assure  you - if you getaway  with no side effects I will be round  to buy you a beer!!

(I think you have had two weeks on Bicalutamide pills - this stops the hormone flare at the start of the treatment!)

Don't worry  - they will get you!

Like you, I thought I was getting away without any side effects, but they have snuck up from behind after 8 weeks on tablets & 7 after the first 3 monthly injection.

So far it's only the hot flushes which to be honest don't last too long & would have been more than welcome last winter when the energy prices were higher.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the others will give me a miss.

Here's hoping you will be the exception & miss out on them all.

Hi , you seem to be similar to my start of this journey as I have my second jab this coming Thursday and only fatigue is hitting me but like I’ve said on here I’m a builder so one day I could be on a concrete braker and filling a skip on throwing concrete blocks about

I use Sage Tablets - they sorted my hot flushes out good and proper - don't work for everybody but happy cold days for me

Thanks for that tip - will have to give it a go.

Funnily enough, I have always suffered from cold feet even in summer, but the flushes are sometimes a bonus

Morning I'm just 1 day behind you 2nd jab Friday , yep just the odd hot flush ,  I'm so pleased I backed out on surgery and opted for HT RT now ...OK time will tell but I can still control my bladder and that's a big + . Good luck on the road ahead
