At the risk of this being a stupid question... Thinking about the whole bone thinning and calcium stuff.... My teeth started hurting a couple of days ago... like all of them :(

As with anything else that happens to my body nowerdays I wonder if its the prostates or hormones fault?  or juts me haha

I was at dentist a few weeks ago.. got clean bill of health..

ALSO
Have my second hormone injection in 2 weeks and so far some hot flushes not too bad and a bit more tired than usual .. usually about tea time..   Possibly going to gte worse aftre second jab do we think or is this it ? :)  fingers crossed

  • I don't have PC my partner does, but I had a really odd experience a month ago that maybe worth mentioning, like you all my teeth were hurting for a few days mainly the top I think. Totally crazy as I couldn't work out what tooth was coming from. It turned out that I had sinus infection and then after a couple of days I tested positive for covid.  So maybe could be something like that?

  • Thanks  .. its probably just me :)  get a bit worried sometimes not knowing if symptoms/reactions or coincidence :)

  • Hi Barry

I can't comment on your dental question but the HT side effects will get worse as time goes by. I was told that how ever long you are on the HT that's how long it will take for the side effects to cease.

    Trying to get fit again!
  • I think you are right to question how you feel as you are going through a worrying time and it will make you question if it's the treatment or something else thats happening. I think it's worth mentioning on your next appointment. if it carries on.  My partner finds that he is really tired as the day goes on and his waist band is getting a bit tighter. He's been on HT for about 5 months now and it's taken a bit of adjustment, especially the hot flushes. He says he feels up and down, if that makes sense, but it's still early days . But when the results from his blood test come through and his PSA comes down it has been worth it for him.

  • I have a phobia about going to the dentist. Because of this phobia I go regularly every 6 months for a check up as I’m scared silly about having anything major needed! For 2-3 weeks before each appotment all my teeth take it in turn to hurt. I have a check up next week. As ever, I have flitting too the ache Slight frown

  • Hi whatshisname

Have you had any bone strengthening injections as part of your treatment?

My hubby has been advised to have Zoledronic acid injections to strengthen his bones, but was warned they can play havoc with your teeth, and he’s been advised to have full dental check before they would proceed

Heres hoping it isn’t too bad for you

    Best wishes x
