Docetaxel - Experience’s

He said it was Absolutely worthwhile and has been told he will be offered it again further down the line, he said will go through it again and again if it helps him live longer.  It has also  helped with the pain around his pelvis etc so really positive results.

Hi Morton, just read the last few posts they are all very encouraging sounds good but possible side effects, so long as the Dexetaxel works that's the main thing, keep us posted mate.

Thank you Ulls.  I will keep things updated here to let folks know how it’s going, could be helpful for other in the future. Fortunately I don’t have much hair to lose anyway. Will keep you posted.

First Chemo eve here. I was given the green light on Friday following bloods. So today I take 8mg of Dexamethasone and repeat that tomorrow morning.  Appointment is at 1.30 tomorrow and doc said I would be there for 4-6 hours for the first treatment.  I will keep you posted on my experience.

Last Thursday was the eve of my husbands radiotherapy and I was a quivering wreck. It’s so horrible knowing you are going to undergo some form of treatment which might, in the short term, give you side effects. That said, try to keep an eye on the longer term and the potential benefits! I do hope all goes well for you! Let us know how you get on! Thinking of you!
