Hi chaps. I’ve been on Decapeptyl before but I now have some node and bone spread so started enzalutamide yesterday. I know we’re all different but any advice, tips, warnings or cautions. Cheers Neil

  • Hi

Like you say, we’re all different, but the usual side effects are fatigue and tiredness, of course there are others, but these two are the main ones or at least in my case. So just listen to your body rest when you need to stay positive.

    Stay safe

    Joe

  • Thanks Joe. I’m actually stretched out on the sofa at the mo. Decapeptyl has slayed me so I’m used to feeling pooped.

Good luck and thanks for your reply

  • Hi Neil

As Joe says we are all different - I have been on Decapeptyl alone for 12 months - no side effects for ages and then all at once my boobs grew, my flushes started (sorted out with sage tablets thanks to advice on here) and I have dry skin (again controlled with baby moisturiser thanks to advice on here). I must be luck as I have avoided the fatigue and tiredness.

Good luck with your future journey.

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • Hi. After a few weeks on Decapeptyl and enzalutamide, I must say I feel fine - apart from usual fatigue and insomnia.

I’ll keep you posted as time goes by. Seeing oncologist on 8 March for new box of enzalutamide and blood results. Fingers crossed

  • Hi Neil - That's great you have avoided everything (apart from the tiredness and fatigue) so far. I was great on the Decapeptyl for about 6 months and thought this is going great. I remember saying to Mrs Millibob - I think I have missed the side effects and bang - they all came at once.

Good luck with your results on 8 March - we are all with you.

    Brian.
