Hi Everybody
I started the old hormone treatment 12 months ago and in the last few weeks my entire body has been itchy. The GP just advises moisturiser but I can't find one that works. Bearing in mind I start radiotherapy on Thursday 5 January 2023 I don't want to be scratching then. Any ideas for a solution - Thanks in advance and all the best for 2023.
Kind Regards - Brian.
Hi Brian,
I've been on the HT jabs for over two years now and found I had itchy legs and feet especially in bed. I was recommended XBC aqueous cream which comes in a tub. It's best to get the SLS version as it doesn't have any added perfume. I think Superdrug stock it and maybe other discount chemist stores in worth a try, it worked for me!
Best wishes,
BAS
Good Morning Bas
Thanks for the heads up - not tried that one and just found it on a well known online store with free delivery tomorrow. It's not too expensive which is a help. I will keep you posted as to my reaction to it.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Good Morning Sussex
That sounds like a plan. If it works after Chemo it should work on my dry skin - I will add it to the list to try. Thanks for your help an best wishes with your condition.

Hi, I use Sanex 0% shower gel which I found works great and is easy to apply all over. Just make sure you rinse the shower out afterwards as any soap left will dry like an ice rink. https://www.boots.com/sanex-zero-gentle-moisture-shower-gel-for-sensitive-skin-450ml-10296928?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc-_-PLAs_HeroCompare-_-Toiletries_Personal_Care-_-UK_Smart_Shopping_Toiletries_Personal_Care&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwuzDoL2h_AIVgtPtCh3_kQDAEAQYGSABEgK0yPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Boots £3 for 450ml
Good Afternoon Harry
Thanks for the heads up - I will give that one a shout - at £ 3.00 a go it's a bargain if it stops me scratching - at this rate I will be wearing oven gloves to bed!!
Sorry to hear about your own issues. Apart from the itching with dry skin the only other issue I have been bothered with on HT is the hot flushes but Sage Tablets have dropped them to few and far between and only a few minuets at the most.
You take care and best wishes for 2023.
Kind Regards - Brian.
