PC spread to ribs, sacrum, spine and lymph. I’m starting on Enzalutamide on top of my usual Decapeptyl SR. Anyone got any experience? Side effects etc. cheers. Festive felicitations too x

  • Hi

Enzalutimide has a habit of draining you, making you tired and fatigued. It can also cause restless leg syndrome.

    Stay safe

  • Hi,

I started on Enzalutamide week and a half ago and so far only side effect has been increased severity / duration of hot flushes and I’m taking a sage supplement to try and reduce those.  Specialist nurse warned me fatigue, possibly extreme, was likely but not had it yet.  Thinning of bones (osteoporosis) is also likely over time so take a calcium + d3 supplement like Alcal D3 if you’re not already (but check with oncologist/ nurse) first of course.

    All the best,

    Brian

  • Thanks Brian. I’ll let you know how I get on. Seeing the oncologist on 11 Jan to discuss my future treatments.
    best of luck for 2023!

  • Hi ZFMAP

My dad has been on Enzalutamide for nearly 1 year and is also getting the 3 monthly injections. His has spread in a similar way to your diagnosis. We have had a tough couple of weeks as his fatigue is so overwhelming, he is seeing his consultant on Tuesday I am hoping that he has some advice a she can't evne leave the house anymore.
