My father was incredibly fortunate to have three rounds of this treatment at the London clinic a year ago - at the time I was told they were expecting it to be available at Royal marsden in a year
I have just looked up this treatment on the NICE website. It has been undergoing consultation which closed last month. Nice are going to recommend that this therapy should not be available on the NHS. There is another comparable drug which seems to score higher on costs/ benefits. Thanks. Helpful clarity and useful for discussions with my Oncologist in January. It does seem very expensive. Perhaps the cost will decrease in the light of this decision?
