Hi All,
Unfortunately, my Dad has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. They told him over the phone while he was working, so he didn't have a chance to ask questions really, but I have a copy of his report. Please can someone tell me if they have experienced any of the following (I have picked out the parts I recognise from my googling and this page!):
Primary Gleeson score: 4
Secondary Gleason Score 3
Grade Group: 3
Max tumour length: 3mm
PC-Likert score T Stage 2a
Tumour involves less than one half of one lobe of the prostate
Dr briefly mentioned partial or full prostatectomy and hormones +/- radiotherapy
Please, can someone give me a little bit of insight? He is awaiting a bone scan in the next two weeks.
Thank you in advance
Hi W
Similar to my scores when I was diagnosed in 2013. Although you don't give PSA.
I would say u have 3 choices assuming PSA not too high.
Active surveillance, surgery or Radiotherapy, I went on AS for ,4 years then RT.
Do much research on the 2 treatments looking at potential side effects for each treatment.
Any other questions please come back
Steve
Hello again,
Quick question if ok please - should I be worried about his lack of appetite? Not sure if it’s worry about the situation or a symptom. He can just about manage soup and a bit of porridge some days. My mum is most worried about this as a feeder!
