Just been told have PC in two lymph nodes in pelvis. Gutted. Not even a year in remission.
Offering me SABR treatment. I’ve read that now it’s metastasised it’s not curative. Is this right? Can the SABR treatments kill the cancer and leave me cancer free ? I’m really confused. Haven’t had appt face to face yet so obviously got lots to ask then. Had anyone their own SABR stories or lymph PC ?
Hi Arryticker
I can understand why you'd be gutted discovering that your prostate cancer is back and has spread to your lymph nodes. I don't know if this means that it's no longer curative, but your consultant or cancer nurse specialist should be able to answer that question for you.
As no one has come forward to share their experiences with SABR yet, I've searched the group and found these previous posts which mention it for you to have a look through. You could reply to the more recent posters if you wanted to ask them any questions.
When you feel up to it, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
