Hello,
Been on monitoring program for a few years but things have changed over the last couple of years and have now been advised that treatment is necessary. Preferred option is a combination of hormone and radio therapy.
Just about to have the first injection and interested in members' experiences.
Hi
Do you have anything to tell us as regards your scores PSA etc ?
Hormone treatment I presume is injections, what you experience from these are hot flushes and tiredness, sometimes fatigue. Radiotherapy affects people differently, in my case I had one day of the runs after twenty sessions, what can happen in months maybe years later, is how it can affect your stomach and bowls, in my case I got radiation prostitis which after a colonoscopy cleared up. But these are just things that could happen, as I mentioned these do not happen to everyone just me and side effects they love me.
Stay safe
Joe
Hi
The only thing I would add to Joe's experience is to take notice of the diet sheet they should give you ( ask if they dont). I didn't over Christmas and it wasn't one of my better ideas!
Regards
Stuart
