Hello,

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late May, following the loss of mobility where I just couldn't walk ( a bit of a shocker on a Monday morning) I thought it was sciatica but it was actually secondary bone cancer. I'm getting treatment, but: I attended a urology appointment today and had an examination where  a little camera is essentially shoved up your penis. It turns out I have something awful looking there too! Now I can't be certain, but is it possible to have cancer there, and how just how many places will this spread!Frowning2

  • Yo dude hope things are getting bit better for you.

    I'm 49 to, I had camera up there, I saw the tumours....grim

They didn't say it's in penis ureatha,

Think just shows within the prostate??? But may I'll ask(if I'm brave enough...)

Similar age, similar diagnosis, similar time of diagnosis

I was expecting consultant to say I only had few months so I need remember this when I'm getting side effects of treatment....

  • I take small comfort in someone else going through the same. I do wish you the very best. I know its dangerous, but I googled cancer in this area in the body, and I think I'm having a TURBT on 13th September where they remove the tumour and test it. You're right, I think it's in the bladder very close to the prostate. Basically the cancer in the prostate has spread to a third place. It really is the unwanted gift that keeps on giving  Unamused Thanks for the reply Troxly, as I say best wishes.

  • Hi Aremid

Unfortunatly cancer knows no boundaries, if it get there it will. Good thing for you your team has found these things and once all the information is in then they can make a plan of how to proceed.
There good people, who have seen these things before, ask them questions don’t be left in the dark, makes you feel like something is being done.

    Stay safe

    Joe

  • Yes you're right, Joeven. Thanks. All the best.
