hi my name is banbeto if you finish your treatment Radiotherapy how will you know everything went Successfully ? they only give you the Treatment paper sheets
Hi Banbeto,
Once you’ve completed your radiotherapy an appointment will be made with your original oncologist to discuss everything. You will be asked to have a blood test a week prior to your appointment. The blood test usually checks for PSA, Testosterone & Renal.
Give your oncologists secretary a call, there telephone number should be on your paperwork which told you what hormone injection you will be having.
I hope this helps
Tyler
Hi Banbeto
After I finished RT in 2017, I never saw a nurse or specialist again. Six month and then yearly PSA tests will show how successful treatment has been. So the first two PSA tests obviously quite important . The lower the better but the main thing is that PSA doesn't start rising again.
