My psa has been rising for about 4/9 month current reading .38 also have lost weght does this give an indication of cancer return
Any PSA reading at 0.2 or above and remaining or increasing indicates biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer. Given it’s 18 years approx since removal it is quite likely cells on the prostate bed. I would request an enhanced pelvic MRI, bone scan and PET/CT scan to try and see if they pick up where the cells are. Have you been referred back to urology and oncology?
