  • Hi Tony,

     I know how you feel.
I saw my consultant at the end of December & she told me that I would have my planning scan in March & my radiotherapy in April.
As I hadn’t heard anything for a while I contacted the hospital on Monday to see if they had any news. Although they have received the paperwork from my consultant they could not give me any dates. As I’m having 37 sessions of radiotherapy that’s almost 2 months so like you say you cannot plan anything. They did say that I should get at least a couple of weeks notice. They also mentioned that I may need 2 planning scans, not sure why.
I suppose we just have to take each day as it comes. Looks like good weather is on its way & as I live only an hour away from London or Cambridge it will be days out sightseeing.

  • Hi Tony and all

I have a T3 2NM prostate cancer.  My dad dies from it aged 86. I am 61 yrs.

Seeing doc for planning meeting on Thurs 24th march. I've been told it's radiotherapy, possibly hormonal treatment,  followed certainly by operation to remove part or whole! of stomach. I'm currently on bicalutomide.

I'm not sure of timescale, yet. Im in London,  under UCLH, the Macmillan cancer support Ctre.

    Eat well, exercise!

    Good luck,  best wishes

    Joe
