Had psa of 549 and gleeson at 9+ and after mri last week had phone appointment with oncologist for next week. This has been changed to phone call with

radiolotherapy review team. It struck me that this doesn't sound promising. Can anybody shine any light??  gerry.

  • Try not to guess what they are going to say / offer but see it as a positive that they may be offering radiotherapy as an option for you to consider

    Thanks, Fingers crossed.

  • Let us know how you get on my Dad had one dose of radiotherapy to help ease pain in his back and it worked

  • Hi Gerry

    Guess covid changes everything!

I had a meeting with an oncologist, at the start of my journey ( Registrar), in 2019. From that point onwards, the RT team took control. I only hear from the Consultants team ( Cancer Nurse Specialist) annually, after a blood test.

So your position sounds OK to me!

  • Like people have said try not to worry and think the worst, I know it is hard. I had a similar diagnosis in march 21 and that happened to me, it was just to start radio therapy to my spine straight away before other treatments. Good luck Fingers crossed

    Regards
