Hi
I had radical prostatectomy two weeks ago, and the catheter as a result of that was removed a few days ago.
When I pee, the first few drops are quite bloody...not dark red but there is definitely blood in there.
I know this is somewhat normal after you have your catheter out, but just wondering from anyone who's been through this, what generally is a "normal" amount of time for the blood in your urine to remain? Weeks? Months?
Thanks
If it's more than a couple of days, someone needs to know about it, either your nurse specialist (if you've been in touch before), or your GP. 'A few drops' is unlikely to be a major problem, but it may indicate infection.
Meanwhile, be sure to drink plenty (absolute minimum 2L/day) to keep the system flushed through.

If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.
Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.
