My wife has suspected peritoneal cancer, she is having a guided biopsy tomorrow 1/10/21. January she had a full hysterectomy and bilateral ovaries removed following diagnosis with stage one grade two endometrial cancer. Following the surgery she was given “the all clear” not requiring further treatment but with histology showing possible Lynch syndrome. Feeling tired and cold, GP bloods showed high calcium and CA125 so hospitalised for 9 days on I’ve fluids and finally a Paminovate? infusion. So scared for her at the moment

  • Hi and a warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read that your wife has suspected peritoneal cancer and hopefully you'll both know more after the results of her recent biopsy.

As you know the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post in the womb (endometrial) cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences, and also the carers only group which is a safe and supportive place to share your worries and emotions. If you'd like to do this clicking on the link I've created will take your straight there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.

It would be great if you could pop something about your wife's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
