Hi Folls
Hope everyone is ok. Just a quick question ascites fluid build up. Has anyone tried any dietary modifications or other methods (herbal/ complementary treatments) that may have worked to slow down the accumulation of fluid. Also does chemo tend to stop development of fluid - I’ve been drained twice now and can find much better ideas for a day out!
thanks for your help
Hi JimBob99 my dad’s partner is currently having chemo for peritoneal cancer which has spread from the ovary. Hers was only diagnosed due to the ascites which had built up. Like yourself she has had 2 drains so far, but she has had 2 rounds of chemo so far, and hasn’t had to have a drain since which looks promising.
Hi Chelle
thanks for replying - although the chemo sounds not nice not having to get drained is a plus in my opinion so hoping the fluid generation will stop when I start.
Wishing you and your dad and his partner well on your journey. Remember there’s always gold at the end of the rainbow
