On 4 July my husband underwent a 14 hour operation to remove cancer from his peritoneum, his bowel, spleen, his diaphragm and the lower lobe of his left lung. Two months after the operation he is finally getting his appetite back and has lost 20 kilos and has a stoma fitted which we are told is irreversible. However, his CAT scan showed that a nodule on the left lower lobe of the lung was denser and slightly bigger. He did have a bag of pus removed from his lung following the operation which we were told was normal. Now I don't know what to think and the oncology appointment is 6 September. As this operation is so new I don't know if he just has a very aggressive cancer or this could be a "normal" result. I am in agony waiting for the appointment.
Hi Toyo
Although I don't have the same type of cancer as your husband I do understand how worrying waiting for results is and wondered how you got on today?

Well the peritoneal cancer has gone but now he has two nodules on his lungs. It’s like a never ending nightmare. So now we need the hospital to confirm next steps
It never rains but it pours doesn't it! I hope these nodules turn out to be benign.
Sending a big (((hug)))
Thank you! It really is beginning to feel desperate to me and I get tired of being always strong and positive
