Suggest a good integrative/conventional oncologist?

My wife had CRS with HIPEC at the Christie in Manchester 2022, for appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma. Sadly it returned earlier this year as stage IV peritoneal disease, perhaps having evaded HIPEC. The high grade tumours have spread extensively across her abdomen and have put pressure on her insides to the extent she’s had stents to her ureters, sigmoid colon and duodenum. She still can’t eat, and her bowel has pretty much stopped transit. We have joined the COC protocol but she needs to be on TPN with a gastric vent tube if we’re going to have any chance of her absorbing all the pills and supplements. We have our first oncologist meeting tomorrow but if the response I’ve had from the NHS provider when asking about collaboration with this metabolic approach has been anything to go by then we may be disappointed.

Can anyone out there provide names of oncologists who would be willing to work with us on a combined approach?  Thanks for your help

  • Hi

How did your wife's appointment with her oncologist go?

I'm not a member of this forum but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your wife's diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
