Hi. I found out in Thursday that I have pancreatic cancer and looks like secondary in my bones. I have to have biopsies yet so it's all very new. I have 2 children..16 and 19...and am so scared of leaving them.

I don't feel in good health at all. I've lost 2 stone as I can't each much. I think because the cancer is at the pancreas head and affecting the bile duct. I've recently had an operation to put stents in my ureters (i still also have nephrostomies), I got sepsis and had to have 2 weeks of strong IV antibiotics.

I'm scared I won't be well enough for chemo. Plus I really don't know how to feel right now. I'm all over the place.

  • I am so sorry to read your message on here. I am praying that you get the best treatment possible and send you much love and strength. X

  • Hi. I feel for you immensely.  Hubby found out he had cancer on the neck of the pancreas 6 weeks ago. It has affected the bile duct. He also had a stent fitted as he had jaundice and fatty stool. On creon for life obviously....He lost a little weight through vomiting. But thankfully, he put 5kg back on as well as more muscle mass through walking a little each day. Chemotherapy is scheduled in the next few weeks. I'm very scared. Can't think clearly. Really want to sleep and not wake up at times. He is well....  I don't know. He won't talk much.

  •  I’m now 5 months post major Whipple surgery followed by another big op as my bowel had moved. I had my chemotherapy delayed as I was not physically well enough to start. I really feel your anxiety about it all. It can be overwhelming. Trust in the professionals at this time is upmost and support from friends and family. I wish you all the very best on this long journey. There are many of us n here for you to vent off too bless you.
