Hi, I was diagnosed with suspected pancreatic cancer last Thursday with unknown primary cause.
I experienced severe chest pain since July, treated with antibiotics for 7 days without resolving the severe chest pain and re-admitted to the A&E the second time. Then they found I have lymph nodes, nodules and blood clots in my lung. I was put in the ‘two-week referral’ programme and completed CT, PET CT scan, biopsy and the whole body MRI scan. Last Thursday, the respiratory oncologist believed I have pancreatic cancer instead of respiratory cancer. I returned back to A&E to start the queue again. Finally, I was put into the ward and sent to the Guy’s hospital for the radiotherapy treatment as they discovered the cancer cells attacked my spine (bone T4 and T5) and caused a bone fracture and the severe chest pain.
now, I am on a recovery stage to heal my spine bone fractures.
I will have OGD investigation and pancreas MRI scan this week, then they will set up a treatment plan in three weeks time.
I don’t know if I am in the advanced stage. Am I going to remove the whole pancreas or other organ? I checked the symptoms, my eyes white is not yellow, no high fever, not loosing appetite (only since the chest pain became severe). It is confusing.
Is there anyone has similar symptoms or situation?
please share your experience with me. Thanks.
Hi Flower212 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It sounds like you've been through a lot these last couple of months so it's natural that you'd want to connect with others in a similar situation.
