I was diagnosed with a pancreatic cyst in 2016 and had full Whipple surgery to remove the tumor in December 2017. Recovery was rough for the first few months, however, I persevered and returned to work after a month and a half. Now three years into recovery, I have been diagnosed with diabetes. In the last year and half my AIC has risen from 6.2 to 10.1. Lazy pancreas! (or what is left of it).
I am starting out on Farxigas to see if It will lower my blood sugar. We will see.
Hi AgingHippy and a very warm welcome to the online community
Thanks very much for taking the time to share your experiences with treatment for pancreatic cancer and I hope you find this group a supportive place for anything you want to ask or talk about.
