Pancreatic cancer

Hi I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January this year in Spain while on holiday so I had  the operation out there then cam back to uk to start chemotherapy I had 18 sessions and four scan they all showed no cancer but the blood indicated that it still there but the doctors or scan can’t fined it so still going to the hospital to see if anything changes has anybody else been in a situation like this

  • Hi Ogie, I guess it depends on your Consultant, my brother has had whipples op in May, just finished 6 rounds of flofirinox, which made him so poorly, but he done what he could. Had his first scan a couple of months ago,which was clear and the consultant was please with the report. The professor who my brother is under said that he will monitor him with just scans as blood test don’t really detect pancreatic cancers. He had another scan booked for Jan. PrayPrayPray
