Advice please.
My mum has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Luckily she has been operated on very quickly and starts chemo in 2 weeks time.
She has recently put a claim in for attendance allowance as advised by her care team. Today she receives a letter saying “someone is coming to your house to visit you tomorrow”
I am really upset by this. I believe this isn’t normal practice. Does this mean they don’t believe her?! It’s crazy, all supporting documents were sent. She is now worrying about this on top of everything else.
Anyone had any experience with DWP re attendance allowance?
Thanks
