So in June my mum started having a slight ache in her tummy, she went to the dr and they perscribed omaprazole, it never got any better so went to a&e in August, they prescribed the same and said if it doesn’t get any better go back to your gp, she also had blood tests which all came back normal.. in sept she went back to the gp, her tummy ache wasn’t painful just annoying and she knew it wasn’t right, they sent her for an ultrasound and that same day the drs called her back in to say they had seen something on her liver...... the following week 19th sept she went to see a specialist at hospital only to be told they had seen cancerous spots on her liver but they weren’t the primary, she then had to have a ct, mri, camera down her throat and lastly a liver biopsy... on the 9th Oct our worlds we’re shattered, they told us the primary was in the pancreas and because it had already spread was inoperable but she could maybe have chemo..... by the time her oncologist appointment came mum had started to go jeandice so the oncologist said there was nothing she could do for mum until that had cleared... mum was admitted into hospital to have a stent fitted but they couldn’t do it because there was a blockage somewhere, they tried the next day through mums tummy and succeeded but she had to be stretched to a bag, after 5 days they tried to fit the stent again and succeeded... she came home Thursday 31st Oct quite weak and frail but so pleased to be home..... mum has her next oncologist appointment on Tuesday 5 Nov so we shall see where we go from there..... it’s so hard seeing someone you live so much going from being so well to so vunerable in such a short time xxxx
