Had a shock today… I know there’s nothing that can be done but I just wanted to voice it.
We found out my husband had recurrent pancreatic cancer last June and that it had spread to the liver on 23rd December with CA19-9 levels at 6821.
Today we went for his cycle 2 Folfox and we always ask for blood test results so we can compare….
CA19-9 levels were over 12000…….
We’re hoping that after a few more treatment cycles it will fall again and that it’s higher because there’s a bigger surface area across the two new liver tumours to produce more of the CA19-9 marker.
That’s how we’re looking at it - and if anyone has been in the same situation we would appreciate input thank you.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
