Hi folks - just found this group and this is my first post. I’m here because I also have had a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer which has already gone to my liver. I have a biopsy on Monday to get formal diagnosis but I’m under no illusions.
Like others this came out if the blue following a random blood test about 5/6 weeks ago. No symptoms other then I had lost a bit of weight. Since then I am experiencing some discomfort around my liver area mainly because it is very swollen. My energy levels remain pretty ok - but sleep not so good.
the constant wait for the next test over last few weeks has been draining not to mention having to chase up and cajole the NHS for information. I’m desparate but terrified for the upcoming final diagnosis/prognosis.
Struggling greatly mentally of course - I know this is life limiting but can’t accept it. Feel like I’m talking about someone else. Some days I can be ok focus on day to day things but last few days I’ve descended into deep sadness and just overwhelmed. I know staying positive mentally is important both for my overall wellbeing and for my family but how do you do that?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
