Just diagnosed- after a wait with pancreatic ductal adenocarcenoma
being referred for neoadjuvant therapy
has anyone had this? Did it work? I know we’re all different but please anything would be helpful
I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis, Squodgeling. I have the same. Have had a whipples and Folfoxin. Would also like to hear if anyone has any experience or knowledge of neoadjuvant therapy. I've not heard of it. I've been looking at clinical trials. Take care, I hope it goes well for you.
Hi, how was the whipple surgery?
how are you doing?
What side effects did you get from the chemo?
what kind of clinical trials are out there?
How long since your diagnosis etc?
they haven’t explained to me their clinical reasoning behind the neoadjuvant therapy yet? I’m guessing it’s because I’m borderline stage 1 to 2? But don’t know for sure
How is your general health atm? It’s such an extreme diagnosis it’s hard to get your mind around it ….
sorry for so many questions, but I’m not sure anyone else gets it except for us
Hi I think you're right other people find it difficult to understand. I had my whipple on 28.2.24. I'm now fully healed . But having lots of issues with bile malabsorbtion, so now just started colesevelam.
I had 12 lots of folfoxin but at 70% because unfortunately I'm allergic to it! Couldn't write it!
I had just returned to work but have just been told it's returned. So I'm now getting my head around at stage 4 diagnosis. But I have 2 teens who need me!
I’m sorry to hear it’s returned, it seems common for pancreatic cancer- where has yours returned?
Good to hear that you healed from the surgery- though…. it seems very much like a give with one hand- take with the other type illness with regards the return of it etc.
how is eating for you?
Did you feel well enough to return to work? Or was that necessity?
that’s another thing- I’m Ill- but I’m also bored ♀️ as I am off work… trying to make my peace with everything but it’s early days and all the waiting is very very difficult and terrifying
thank you for speaking with me I appreciate it so much
