Iv not yet been diagnosed… however having investigations.
5weeks ago I had a tender tummy to touch, had bloods done and my crp was 71 and ca125 (ovarian) was 105. Had an ultrasound of ovary’s and that was all ok. 2 weeks after I had abdominal pain which radiated through to my back,it would wake me in the night. (I recognised this pain as pancreatic as thought I had pancreatitis pain 10 yrs ago but bloods didn’t show anything) I went a&e and had a ct scan. Results showed nothing other than inflammation of my peritoneal (fluid build up) when I asked about my pancreas all the ct saw was fat accumulation on the tail of my pancreas.
I had an abdomen and pelvis ct and nothing other than this fluid was seen. I know how ct scans can miss pancreatic tumours.
im fearing it’s missed but and also missed spread to the liver. iv told them I want a EUS but he said I’d be better having an mri 1st.
did anyone else have abdominal fluid as 1st sign?
what the chances of ct missing tumour and possible spread?
Hi Aem welcome to the forum..I note that you say that there was inflammation of fluid build up in peritoneal area. Is there a reason for that fluid and the inflammation? I'm asking because I'm not seeing where the Pancreas is involved but that might just be me, so please forgive me if I haven't picked that up right.
Hi, sorry it was not very clear. Iv been diagnosed with spontaneous peritonitis by ct scan after a tender tummy.
they don’t know why as ct scan isn’t showing anything els.
then began having abdominal pain that would go through to my back. I recognised this pain from 10 yrs ago… I had same pains for about a month 10 yrs ago and after all normal blood tests ruling out pancreatitis I had a private mri, they said no tumours but the only thing they noticed was my pancreas was on the bulky side which could just be normal for me… 10 yes on I’m now having the same pains and inflammation in my peritoneal but no known cause. I keep telling them it’s my pancreas but they are dragging their feet
