Had about 7 weeks of hell. Have lots of menopause symptoms and ended up with fast tracks for breast, bladder, cervix, lining of womb and ovarian cancer. I have been through so much anxiety. Thankfully all came back okay confirmed hormonal. During the time waiting for results it’s took its toll, not sleeping, loss of appetite. I’ve suffered on and off with ibs over years and it’s generally early morning dash and loose, mucus, a little lighter in colour sometimes. I also have diverticular disease. The last few weeks I’ve noticed it worse. Two weeks ago I started with indigestion out the blue. Epigastric discomfort, burping, nausea, flatulence, not much appetite. I’ve been started on omeprazole. During the course of all my tests I ended up having an ultrasound of abdomen and all reported fine, with normal appearances of pancreas noted. So they could visualise it all from this comment. All other organs reported as fine. Blood tests all reported normal liver, kidney  fbc and amylase. I can’t stop worrying about PC. Have spoken to a few doctors and even went to a and e and no one concerned. Could anyone advise as I’m not functioning with worry.

  • Hi Amethyst65 welcome to the forum. I am confused slightly as to what makes you think this could be Pancreatic Cancer? Can you elaborate any as you say yourself you have ongoing bowel issues on and off for  a long time and started on Omeprazole which wont  have started to work yet fully as it needs  to. I also note a clear scan so as I say I am confused and sorry about that.,

  • Hello and thank you for your reply. I had a colonoscopy last year for ongoing loose stools. Thankfully no bowel cancer but noted some diverticula pouches. I didn’t really pursue it more as just put down to ibs and the diverticular disease. Out the blue I’ve started with the indigestion symptoms. I’ve lost half a stone as no appetite. I appreciate I’ve had a very stressful period in my life that could have caused my symptoms but feel concerned re PC. I have had a normal ultrasound scan and bloods. It reports as normal appearances of pancreas. I commenced omeprazole 10 days ago.
