Hi folks
My wife was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer five and a half years ago when she was given 50/50 chance of making it to 5 years (so we've beaten that milestone)
After initial chemo and surgery she's had all sorts of different chemos. Currently she is on monthly Caelyx. Her third treatment is this week after which she will have another CT scan to see where we are. CA 125 has been as high as 1400, may find out tomorrow what it currently is and after the CT Scan report will also have better idea of how bad things are (not particularly hopeful)
Hi Tormac and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sure you'll find this group to be an informative and supportive place to be.
It would be great if you could put something about your wife's diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
I hope the scan shows good results
((hugs))
Thanks for your reply. Ironically my wife was a mammographer before she retired early due to her diagnosis.
I have added a bit more detail in my profile. I have a lot of other information about the last 5 years which I may add at some point.
Many thanks
xxxx
