  • Hello Gail,

I can fully recommend getting yourself some information on Cognitive Behavior Therapy courses or just some books etc.  I have lived with depression and severe anxiety for most of my life due to my incurable cancer.  I had to have my hysterectomy when I was just 29 which was 2 years after I had my rainbow baby boy in 1995. I was placed onto Duloxetine after one of my surgeries in 2024 and its been a total game changer. (It might be spelt different for you as I live in France.) Its a scary thing when the voices in our heads seem to be louder than reality and believe you me I have been to the darkest of the darkest times.  No one can prepare us for the strength in which our hormones can affect everything in our bodies and this too can reflect upon our behavior within our relationships as well as life in general. You are NOT going mad and its NOT your fault.   Try not to use Google too much although I have to say that some of the AI has helped me recently with some of my new issues which has allowed me to ask my Dr the right questions.  If you have heard of the Bach Flower remedies have a look into them. I hope this might give you a bit of a starter and I send you all my Best.  Much Love Maria x
