Hi I’m a 39 and a mother to 6 children, I’ve just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer after a operation to remove a 14cm cyst, they also found it in my stomach fluid. I’ve had a CT scan Tuesday where they scanned from my thorax to my pelvis to see if it’s spread, and what stage it is.
I was diagnosed with IBS until the pain got so severe that I went to A&E in February where they found the cyst and I was put on the waiting list for a operation then last month the pain came back even worse, I couldn’t keep anything down so they gave me a emergency operation that’s where they found the cancer and took biopsies.
It’s been a worrying time for for me and my family, it’s the waiting that’s been the worse but I’m a very positive person, up beat and taking each day as it comes. I try not to worry to much as it’s not going to change the outcome and as I’ve learned life’s to short.
Hi , I’m so sorry you have found your self here. your feelings are completely understandable. The waiting for test results is so difficult and sounds like you have been very uncomfortable with pain and being sick. I can only imagine how hard it must be coping with this and caring for six children at the same time.Trying not to worry is hard and I hope that the results and a treatment plan comes soon for you , then at least you will know what the diagnosis is and ways forward. I do hope that the medical team have been able to support you with pain relief. Take care. Xx
