Just want to say hello, I have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, not sure which type yet as I need a biopsy. I am going into hospital tomorrow to be drained as I have a lot of fluid buildup which if I’m honest is freaking me out.
when I got my diagnosis yesterday I felt positive but now I think the enormity of it all is starting to sink in
Hi, really sorry you find yourself here, but hoping you’ll find this group a good source of advice and support.
From my own experience last year I remember the uncertain period around diagnosis being one of the worst - lots of emotional ups and downs and a thousand questions going round in your head for which you have no answers yet.
I hope though that, like me, you will be able to feel more positive about your journey once you have a treatment plan in place and a series of next steps you can focus on, one at a time.
Meanwhile, stay strong, keep faith with your medical team, and I hope you’ll feel more comfortable once the fluid is drained too.
Be great to hear how you get on if you feel like posting here again,
Love Bx
