Hi OLL, I have just joined the group. I am in the very early stages of diagnosis. My Doctor rang last night and asked me to bring my partner regarding my blood tests. My stomach on the right side has been swollen and painful for a while now and I was treated for IBS initially. My results show that there is a possibility I have ovarian cancer. I am now waiting for my scan and appointment with the gynaecological consultant. I have hardly slept last night and feel so worried but it is reassuring to know that there are other ladies going though this on this group. I have avoided reading internet topics relating to ovarian cancer but feel this site is the most encouraging and reassuring. Thank you for letting me join.
Hi I just had a blood test at the Doctors which showed signs of Ovarian Cancer. I am waiting for my CT scan and have just rang the hospital regarding this as I was put forward as an emergency and have been waiting a week now . They are going to ring me back later so hopefully things will start to progress further and I have been told I will be having a gynacolologist's appointment within the week so hopefully I will find out to what extent I am dealing with. Good Luck with your results and sending big hugs. I know its easy to say " try not to worry" but to be honest I almost welcome the result as I have felt unwell for some time and I just want to get the plan of action into place and start the treatement.
Hi Buffy girl, I had a full blood test today, including ca125. My symptoms are bloating and feeling full from time to time, it’s not all the time and I’m not in pain. I’ve had some stomach cramps too. I feel my symptoms are mild. Is this normal? I am worried what the results might be but also read that ca125 isn’t a definitive diagnosis. What were your symptoms? Also is pain an indicator? Thanks
